Last Saturday Race Series
The last Saturday Race Day of the Summer Series was sunny with shifty winds. Everyone had a great time finishing off two races on the opti line and three on the 420 line. On the opti line, Madeline Foote won with three points, Grant Dewald placed second with five points, and Grace Dewald placed third winning the tie with Sean Healy. The 420 line was fortunate enough to have race team sailors along...

Saturday Race Series
The Saturday race series went very well today, even with only six optis, two prams and four 420s. The weather couldn’t have been any better with blue skys and wind that didnt shift too much allowing the opti line three races as well as the 420 line, ending the day strong. The opti sail number 420 placed first with five points, 9180 placed second with six points, and 23 placed third...

Clouds! - a rant from Tyson
Being a super, ultranautical sailor requires more than just boatspeed and an knowledge of the rules. A basic intuition regarding meteorology and oceanography can aid any sailor.  Identifying a seabreeze can help you forecast hours into the immediate future. Even knowing when high tide will occur can change where you line your boat up on the starting line. A few weeks ago, during the afternoon...

Saturday Race Series
Saturday was a huge success having a bunch of optis show up as well as some 420s to race. The day started a little slow but once the sailors were out on the docks, it went by fast. The Opti and 420 line got off three solid races throughout the two hour period ending the day with awards to the top three sailors. If anyone is interested, call the office to get more details.
